Work Statement

Picture
I am attracted to the arts and their universal power of communication. Years of photography and sketching were a primer for landscape watercolor. I am intrigued by the elegance of design, simplicity and power found in nature, and its application to life. I find the visual arts through landscape painting a means of refocusing on that which is our common environment to highlight its natural design. I paint en plein air and as well as in studio. I enjoy both disciplines as I work to capture the atmosphere, palette, and the simplicity of a landscape.
